SPIRIT OF NEWFOUNDLAND RESPONSE TO COVID 19
Even though the Alert Level for Covid 19 is no longer in place in Newfoundland and Labrador, we want to ensure our guests and community that we are committed to your health, safety, and comfort as we welcome you back. We appreciate your patience as we work through this challenging time together and thank you for your continued support.
YOUR HEALTH, SAFETY, AND COMFORT IS OUR MAIN PRIORITY
Everyone has a part to play during this challenging time – this starts with acting responsibly and diligently. We have implemented measures that support the health and safety of our employees and guests in our establishment. Here’s how Spirit of Newfoundland is preparing to keep you safe as recommended by our health officials.
We are currently operating at 100% capacity with attempts made to social distance where we can, depending on the table size.
We kindly ask that you respect social distancing and keep 2m or 6 feet between others. You will notice new signage placed throughout our establishment as a friendly reminder of this measure.
INCREASED CLEANING AND SANITIZATION
We have implemented strict cleaning measures in our dining, bar, washrooms, and other high touch surface areas.
HAND WASHING AND SANITIZATION
Employees are adhering to increased and rigorous hygiene policies including increased handwashing to protect themselves and others. Please utilize our hand sanitizing stations located throughout the building for employee and guest use.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
Employees will be wearing protective masks and other forms of PPE while working in the kitchen, bar, and dining room areas to protect themselves and others.
STAFF HEALTH SCREENING
We will be conducting health checks/screening of our employees to ensure only staff who are symptom free will be working.
SINGLE USE MENUS & BEVERAGE LISTS
Single use menus and beverage lists will be provided at your table.
ADDITIONAL BUILDING FEATURES
Our building is equipped with a ventilation system that promotes adequate air flow and exchanges in our dining, bar, and kitchen areas. Additionally, we have two building entrances that guests can avail of – one being our main entrance on Cathedral Street and the other on Willicotts Lane (off of Gower Street). These entrances will be utilized to accommodate those with accessibility needs and to promote physical distancing while arriving and leaving the building. We kindly ask that you refrain from entering our space if you are experiencing any of COVID 19 symptoms outlined by our government officials.
Thank you again for your support and patience during this challenging time.
